If you've set your Bronco's HVAC to floor mode and still feel air blowing from the A-pillar vents — you're not imagining it. It's one of the most common complaints on Bronco6G, Reddit, and owner groups. Even with the system set to feet only, warm air leaks through the A-pillar defrost vents instead of going where you actually want it. In the winter, that means cold feet and wasted heat.
Ford hasn't fixed it. Dealers call it normal. The AirLock fixes it.
The AirLock is the only A-pillar vent grille replacement for the 6th gen Ford Bronco with a built-in pivot mechanism. Open for airflow. Close to block. No loose pieces, no magnets, nothing to misplace or rattle off on the trail.
A spring-loaded cam snaps the cover firmly into the closed position with a satisfying click. It's the kind of tactile feel you expect from a factory part — not a wobbly aftermarket add-on. Open it when you want defrost airflow. Snap it shut when you don't. One hand, one motion.
Other vent solutions on the market use magnets and 3M tape — a separate piece you pull off and stash somewhere every time you want airflow back. Hit a bump on the trail and it's under your seat. The AirLock stays put because it's all one unit.
Manufactured in-house from carbon-fiber reinforced plastic. Carbon fiber reinforcement delivers superior rigidity, dimensional stability, and heat resistance. UV-stable and built to hold up under sustained HVAC heat and direct sun without warping, softening, or degrading. Matte black finish matches the factory interior.
Replaces the factory louver insert on both driver and passenger sides — no need to buy Ford's $300+ full trim assembly just to replace a vent.

FAQ
Why does my Bronco blow air from the A-pillar vents on floor mode? It's a known HVAC design issue on 2021+ Broncos. Even with the system set to floor only, warm air leaks through the A-pillar defrost vents. Ford hasn't issued a fix, and dealers typically say it's operating as designed. The AirLock replaces the factory vent grille and lets you block that airflow with a simple hinged cover.
Will this fix my Bronco's cold feet problem? By closing off the A-pillar defrost vents, more heated air is directed to the floor vents where it belongs. Owners who have blocked these vents report noticeably warmer feet and better floor heat output.
Can I still use the defrost vents when I need them? Yes. The AirLock pivots open and closed in place. A spring-loaded cam snaps it shut. When you need defrost airflow, just pivot it open. No pieces to remove or store.
How is this different from the magnetic vent blockers on Etsy? Magnetic blockers are separate pieces that have to be removed and stored when you want airflow. On the trail, they can rattle loose. The AirLock is an integrated replacement — it stays in the vent and pivots between open and closed. Nothing to lose.
What material is it made from? Carbon-fiber reinforced ASA (ASA-CF). This is a major step above the PETG used by other sellers. ASA-CF offers higher heat resistance, UV stability, and rigidity — it won't warp under sustained HVAC heat or sun exposure.
